Rudy walked up to his mother's teat while she grazed, and reflectively went to nurse from her, even though he started to eat grass while she was gone and pregnant with Destiny. Christian Blood smiled and stepped away from Rudy's mouth. "Mommy!" he pouted. Destiny stuck her head out from in front of Christian Blood's head, her big eyes staring at her half brother.
Christian Blood lifted her head and looked at Rudy. "Now now son I thought you were eating big horsey food, remember?" She grabbed some grass and handed it to Rudy. he reluctantly took it and ate it. "Destiny needs to nurse and I don't have enough milk to feed you both." At that, Destiny went and nursed from her mother and Christian Blood started to graze again.
Rudy pouted and watched his sister from behind his mother. It wasn't really fair. The new foal got all the attention and the good food! Rudy sighed and turned to go play with his other friends.
